Aubrieta preforms best in full sun or light shade and well-drained soil of average fertility. Plants thrive in the limey soils of the midwest. Adding lime to the soil will also raise the pH. They revel in areas with warm sunshine, cool nights, and low humidity. Plants should be sheared back after flowering to allow for sporadic rebloom and a compact growth habit. Propagate by division in fall.
