| | Common Name: Mukdenia-Red Leafed |
Looking for something different? This unique Heuchera relative native to China has large, green, fan-shaped leaves. Beginning in summer, red pigmentation begins to creep inward from the edges and by fall, they are fire red. The foliage forms a low, spreading mound.
Delicate white, star-shaped flowers appear just above the foliage in mid to late spring, but this plant is grown mainly for its attractive foliage.
Try Mukdenia 'Karasuba' in containers or as a slowly spreading groundcover in part shade.
