Echinacea 'Sensation Pink' PP26593

Common Name: Purple Coneflower

We’ve had the rare chance to observe this magnificent plant both in our trials gardens here in Michigan and in the breeder’s nursery in the Netherlands. The intense pink flower color we saw in the Netherlands was equally as vibrant in our Michigan climate.  This plant boasts 3” wide, hot magenta pink flowers that really catches your eye from a distance. Flowers lighten to light lavender pink with age. The flowers are presented on dark stems above a truly compact habit.

Praised for their cheerful brightly colored flowers, coneflowers are a mainstay in today's garden. Be sure to leave some spent blooms on the plants in the fall because their seeds provide winter food for finches and other birds. The dried seed heads also provide architectural interest in the winter.
