Tiarella 'Jade Peacock' PP26730 CPBRAF

Common Name: Foamflower

This beautiful woodland perennial provides year round interest with its evergreen, feathery patterned foliage. In spring, the new foliage emerges bright yellowish green with a prominent, deep red center, maturing to jade green with a deep purple center in summer. In winter, the evergreen foliage turns deep mahogany purple with a black center.

‘Jade Peacock’ grows into a very densely compact clump that won’t run all over the garden like the groundcover types of Tiarellas.

From early spring into early summer depending on the climate, spikes of light pink buds appear above the foliage, bursting open into creamy white, lightly fragrant, star-like blossoms. The flowers are spaced closely together on the stems, creating greater visual impact.

Tiarellas can be grown in containers and in the landscape anywhere that dappled to full shade can be provided. They pair beautifully with hostas and ferns.

Tiarellas are riding on a tidal wave of popularity thanks to their shade tolerance, unusual leaf shape, dramatically marked foliage, repeat flowering, and light fragrance.
