Allium 'Needlepoint' PPAF

'Needlepoint' brings a fresh twist to ornamental onions with its crisp, solid white blooms-the only white-flowering Allium in our lineup. This compact, finely textured variety forms tidy clumps topped with small, refined flower clusters, giving it a noticeably clean look in the garden. Its thready foliage and petite stature make it a perfect white-blooming companion to the lavender-flowering 'Pincushion'. Unlike chive-type Alliums with a similar appearance, 'Needlepoint' stays well-behaved and is much less weedy, offering a polished, easy-to-maintain presence in borders, rock gardens, and mixed plantings.
Alliums are charming plants for the rock or herb garden. When the foliage is bruised, it smells like onions since they are in the onion family. Butterflies and honeybees adore the flowers' sweet nectar but deer and rabbits steer clear of this perennial beauty.
