Echinacea purpurea 'Fatal Attraction' PP18429 CPBR3984

Common Name: Purple Coneflower

One of the latest releases from renowned breeder and garden designer Piet Oudolf of The Netherlands. This outstanding selection has vivid purplish pink flowers with 2 rows of perky petals that never droop. They are presented atop strong, dark red to near-black stems that contrast sharply against the bright green foliage.

Praised for their large, daisy-like flowers which appear from mid through late summer, coneflowers are a mainstay in today's garden. If deadheaded, the bloom cycle will be extended. However, some spent blooms should be left on the plants in fall because their seeds provide winter food for finches and other birds. The dried seed heads also provide architectural interest in the winter.
