Hemerocallis 'El Desperado'

Common Name: Daylily

  • 5", light mustard to butter yellow flowers with a striking wine purple eye and matching picotee edge half way up the petals
  • Eye is notched at the midrib, creating an interesting central pattern
  • Yellow-green throat; crimped flower petals
  • Blooms in late summer
  • Extended bloom--flowers last at least 16 hrs. each
  • Tetraploid

Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone).
