Hemerocallis 'Maestro Puccini'

Common Name: Daylily

Try this daylily for an appealing color that will shine when it blooms midseason. Wine purple flowers have a darker purple halo, lemon yellow throat, and ruffled petal edges. The flowers open well and will impress you in the garden.

Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone).

Characteristics (Compared to Other Daylilies)
  • Midseason Bloomer, blooming in July.
  • Extended Bloom with flowers staying open at least 16 hours.
  • Evergreen foliage.
  • Tetraploid with 44 chromosomes, twice as many as Diploids. Tetraploids tend to be bigger, stronger plants.
