Hemerocallis 'Midnight Raider'

Common Name: Daylily

Our favorite new daylily this season!  ‘Midnight Raider’ is a tremendous performer, the best in its color class.

Very thick, exceptionally heavily budded scapes support the large, deep reddish purple flowers with a prominent, bright citron yellow halo and green throat.  The fragrant blossoms shimmer with diamond dusting and have slightly recurved, deeply ruffled petals.

This outstanding daylily blooms first in midseason and then again later in the season.  Not to be missed!

Semi-evergreen tetraploid.

This is considered a premium daylily, which means that it has been selected as highly performing plant with exceptional bloom performance, substantive, vibrantly colored flowers, complete winter hardiness in northern zones, and a vigorous habit.

Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone).
