Papaver rupifragum 'Double Tangerine Gem'

Common Name: Spanish Poppy

Fully double, tangerine orange flowers are produced above fern-like, silvery blue foliage in late spring to early summer, shortly after the Oriental Poppies are finished blooming. We have observed sporadic rebloom through the summer here in Zeeland, Michigan and were impressed it did not go summer dormant. Decorative nodding seed heads appear on wiry stems after it is finished blooming. Great for the front of the border.
