Pulmonaria longifolia 'Bertram Anderson'

Common Name: Lungwort, Bethlehem Sage

Outstanding for mass plantings! Be dazzled by a sea of gentian blue flowers emerging from fuchsia buds in late spring. Like other P. longifolia, 'Bertram Anderson' has long, narrow leaves heavily spotted with silver, and it tends to bloom a couple of weeks later than other species.

Pulmonaria is an underused perennial that grows well in shady gardens. It is especially attractive when planted among hostas, ferns, and brunneras. Its flowers are among the most brilliantly colored blossoms of all perennials.
