Schizophragma hydrangeoides 'Moonlight'

Common Name: Japanese Hydrangea Vine, False Hydrangea

A vigorous woody vine which climbs on its own using clinging root-like holdfasts. It is splendid when allowed to climb up a tree or scramble over stone walls.

The heart-shaped, blue-green leaves have a silver overlay, giving them an attractive sheen. They may turn beautiful colors of yellow, orange, or red in the fall. Large, silvery-white flowers which are somewhat like a lacecap hydrangea are produced in midsummer.

This plant is rarely bothered by pests or diseases.
