Tanacetum vulgare 'Isla Gold'

Common Name: Gold Leaf Tansy

Grown mainly for its fantastic foliage, this selection has bright yellow (not gold), aromatic, ferny leaves that have tremendous color impact even from a distance. This colorful foliage seems to complement all the other colors in the garden.

From mid through late summer, compact, flat-topped clusters of golden yellow flowers (similar to the annual ageratum) are produced. They aren't particularly showy but the bees seem to like them. This plant is great for naturalizing and for cottage gardens. It grows quickly to form a broad, dense clump.
